In 2022, NoteOptics launched first African Reading Glasses Charity Donation Awards. This charity event plan to raise a total of 20,000 pairs of reading glasses, ranging from +1.00 DSph to +2.50 Dsph BE and we will put these reading glasses on donate to five African countries first, they are Republic of Sierra Leone, Republic of Malawi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Lesotho.
WHO estimates that at least 826 million people suffer from visual impairment due to unresolved presbyopia, and at least 124 million suffer from moderate to severe hyperopia or blindness due to unresolved myopia or hyperopia. The prevalence of uncorrected presbyopia in sub-Saharan Africa is estimated to be higher than 85%.
China is a big manufacturing country, and eyewear companies are one of China’s advantageous projects. The good quality reading glasses are exported to Europe and the United States in large quantities every year. With abundant resources, we encourage eyewear companies to donate for poverty-stricken areas in Africa, who cannot afford reading glasses. Moreover, they have a passion to make people’s lives better!
NoteOptics will introduce first African Reading Glasses Charity Donation Awards to public including local government officials, eyewear companies, and state media etc. These donors who giving reading glasses will be invited to the opening ceremony to receive certificate. “Give More See More”, we believe every contribution truly make a difference in people’s lives!
